Google Messenger Is Out On Play Store

Something new from Google that allows you to send text messages to your friends and family? Isn’t that already available on Google Hangouts since a year ago? But why Google? Isn’t hangouts already perfect where we all can use one unified application to send messages? Google Messenger, a standalone text messaging application is now out on Play Store. Although it’s already been around, spotted since recent Android L 5.0 release on Nexus 6, most of us haven’t got it yet, until now. Material Design Email in AOSP

A couple of days ago, XDA Senior Developer pulser_g2 posted his rant on on XDA regarding Google’s lack of concern with AOSP apps. But one of our editors spotted a Material Design Email App in AOSP via a tip by sykopompos . I went ahead and did a compile and found that, yes it is Material Design, but it is barely functional. But, it is a milestone for AOSP with regards in Material Design.

Google Inbox

Yesterday, Google released a new application, Google Inbox. This is really interesting. New ‘inbox’ for us to play with. Too bad, you can’t try it yet because Google use invitation system just like what they did on some new applications previously, including their web services like Google Domains. Good thing, you can request for an invite and just wait for Google to reply your request.
