Samsung announces Galaxy Alpha with Metallic Frame, Fingerprint and Heartbeat sensor

Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Alpha with a metal frame, as an answer to the criticism faced by the company over its plastic design of its smartphones which has been blamed for the company’s recent struggles. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha runs on the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It sports a 4.7-inch 720p Super AMOLED display. The handset has a very sleek profile with dimensions 132.4×65.5×6.7mm and weighs just 115 grams. Just like its big brother Galaxy S5, Alpha sports a Fingerprint Scanner and a HeartBeat monitor. Along with the Galaxy Alpha, Samsung also debuted the new Exynos 5430 SoC. It is the first smartphone SoC by any manufacturer to be based on the 20nm process.
