Previously we took a look at the Iradish Y6, which was a smartwatch and a smartphone at the same time. If you’re looking for something with higher specifications, the GV08S could be your right choice.
Just like the Iradish Y6, the GV08S has many value-added features added to enhance your experience with the smartwatch. Things such as the built-in camera, GSM support, and anti-theft are all included. There are some slight differences in the design of the GV08S that are notable.
For one, the GV08s has its camera on top, while the Y6 has its camera on the right side. This makes the camera accessible for either left or right-handers, while the Y6 is specifically catered to left-handers like myself. Instead of wearing the watch on the left hand to take photos, when you are using the GV08S, you can just point the camera directly at anything you are shooting. Both smartwatches use a 0.3MP camera, which means the photos will probably be thumbnails or profile images, but not for expert photography.
The GV08S also has its speakers on the top of the watch, unlike the Y6 which has it on the left side.
The materials used in the GV08S is also worth mentioning. It has a zinc alloy housing with brushed metal, which makes it look a little like the Galaxy Gear. It’ll also make the watch look a lot more stylish.
Again like the Y6, the GV08S does not run on Android Wear, but is still able to sync with Android devices. This means that the restrictions imposed by Android Wear has been taken off. Together with the GSM support, the GV08S could be said as a smart watch-phone, instead of just a smartwatch. It will be interesting to see what the future of smartwatches and smartphones will bring.
You can get the GV08S in four colours: gun dark, coffee golden, ivory white, and silver. The ivory white version also comes with a white watch band, which makes it look a lot cooler than the other colours. Thanks to Gearbest’s promotion too, they all cost the same price now, at $33.99.
