This week sponsored post by Gearbest is the MEIZU M2 Note.
For a moment, you could have thought the cover image is an iPhone if I didn’t mention that this post will be about MEIZU M2 Note. It’s true, when I first saw the M2 Note, I thought that i was looking at an iPhone, but after some serious inspections, it isn’t an iPhone after all. Talking about the similarities of the M2 Note to iPhone already took up 3 sentences, so let’s dive straight to the point, shall we?
This latest low-cost offering from Meizu offered the same design language as it’s predecessor. However, same design does not mean lack of creativity. The M2 Note comes in polycarbonate unibody design with a glossy finish and the rounded edges and sides.
The volume rocker and the power button are found on the left side, having been moved from its place at the top, as seen with the M1 Note.
The dual SIM card and microSD card slot is on the opposite side.
The device has a 5.5 inches display and 1080 x 1920 pixels (~403 ppi pixel density).
The M2 Note comes in 16/32GB storage options but it can be further expandable with a external SD card to 128GB. It’s important to note though that the second SIM card slot of the device is what also functions as the microSD card slot, so it will be up to the user to choose between enjoying the benefits of expandable storage or dual SIM capabilities. The M2 Note comes with 4G LTE build in.The Meizu M2 Note packs a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 and Mali-T720MP3 GPU. It comes with Accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass. Although it does not comes with an array of sensors, but hey, what do you expect at this price range? All of these hardware comes powered by a 3,100 mAh battery. Don’t be fooled by the image on the right though, the device only comes in 2 colours which is dark grey and white.
A great device, but are you afraid that they might get scratches? Fear not! Gearbest does also sell tempered glass screen protectors and flip leather case to protect your device and they do look good(honest opinion).
You can get them over here. Get the international variant if you are outside China. The Meizu M2 Note cost $159.59(USD). If you would like to have a screen protector, it costs $3.94. The flip case cost $3.78. Get them quick though as Gearbest is conducting a sale and offering prices below market. Watch out for our future reviews as we will be buying the Meizu M2 Note to review using our own funds. Of course we will give a more honest opinion on this device. So, stay tuned!
