Samsung officially announces Gear S and Gear Circle

This watch appears to have it’s own network radio, which means that you can make calls and use data without having to tether it to a smartphone.  This appears to conform with past rumour that Samsung is making a smartwatch that does not  have to rely on a smartphone for essential tasks. Specs wise, Samsung has a smaller battery than LG, but we cannot compare their battery life without any conclusive testing as they are using 2 different Operating System.  Design wise, I don’t really like the “Squarish” looking watch. The market is already flooded with them already, Samsung adding another similar looking watch will not be a game changer. Having said that, I do like the curvy shape of the screen. I suppose it will fit nicely on our wrists?

Straight after Samsung announced the Watch, it unveiled Gear Circle. It is a set of wireless earbuds that connect magnetically to each other that will let you listen to music, make  calls and send voice commands on either your phone or smart watch.

Samsung says that it will be available from October. I suspect that both of them will be heavily advertised together side by side with the Note 4. Stay tuned for next week as Samsung will be presenting them at IFA 2014. Just like the G Watch R, we have no details of the pricing for both of the accessories.
