HTC has just announced its flagship for 2015 – the HTC One M9. HTC One M9 packs a 5″ 1080p display of a Super LCD3 variety with minor improvements. On the front are traditional BoomSound stereo speakers, now improved further by 5.1 channel Dolby® Surround sound simulation.
The One M9 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 platform – an octa-core 64-bit processor with four Cortex-A57 cores at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A53 working at 1.5GHz. The graphics department is handled by Adreno 430, while their is 3GB of RAM on board for multitasking. Other specs include 32GB internal storage, 128GB external storage and rich connectivity package with LTE Cat.6 or Cat.9 (various by region) with support for 21 LTE bands, wired and wireless TV-out, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Wi-Fi ac. The battery capacity have increased from 2600mAh to 2840mAh from the previous generation.
HTC One M9 comes with a Toshiba sensor of 1/2.3″ size with a resolution of 20MP on the back capable of 4k recording with F/2.2 aperture and dual-LED dual-tone flash. Unfortunately, the camera doesn’t support optical image stabilization, but on a positive note there is a sapphire glass to protect the lens from scratches. The selfie department is handeled by a 4MP UltraPixel Camera similar to that of a One M8.
HTC One M9 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop enhanced with the new HTC Sense 7 UI. Sense 7 supports BoomSound connect – it allows the phone to combine its internal speakers with external ones for surround playback.
The One M9 will be available in 4 colors – Grey, Silver, Gold and Pink with a dual-anodized design. The HTC One M9 will be available globally in dual-tone silver and rose gold, single-tone gunmetal grey, single-tone gold and dual-tone gold and pink in from mid-March.
