Desire 320 is not the only smartphone HTC launched at CES. The HTC desire 826 also breaks it covers at CES and becomes the very first device from the Taiwanese manufacturer to run lollipop out of the box.
It looks very much like the previously released Desire Eye smartphone but is a tad bigger.
The phone sports a big 5.5″ 1080p display. The dimensions of the phone are 158 x 77.5 x 7.9 mm and it weighs 183 grams. On the front, are the Dual HTC BoomSound speakers integrated with Dolby Audio.
On the inside beats a 64-bit Qualcomm’s SnapDragon 615 Octa-Core processor which have 4 x 1.7GHz ARM Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53 cores coupled with 2GB RAM. The device has 16GB internal memory and it supports micro-sd cards upto 128GB. A 2600 mAh battery provides juice to the phone.
The Desire 826 becomes the very first HTC phone to feature an UltraPixel front facing camera. Though, in some markets, it will be launched with a 13MP front facing shooter as well. The rear camera is a 13MP unit with an LED flash.
The phone will be offered with vivid dual color tones in White Birch, Blue Lagoon, Purple Fire and more. The HTC Desire 826 will be available with mobile operators and major retailers in Asia-Pacific beginning at the end of January 2015 and will roll out in other regions over subsequent months.
