Flow Home (Beta) Review

Flow Home (beta) iconYou may have noticed that your social networking apps take up a lot of space on your phone, and you may also notice that sometimes, you just need the right updates at the right time, but not all of the vast number of features built into these apps. Flow Home takes this problem and takes it to the next level, by not only taking major social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, and combining them together, but also putting them on the home screen!

Now you’ll never have to download another 3rd party Twitter client to check your feeds – Simply refresh on your home screen, and you’ll get instant updates right on the place where you’ll also start your apps. There is even widget support for those who are adventurous and want to customize it even further. A fitting slogan for this app would be ‘Your social life: now on your home screen’

This app is still in closed beta testing, so you might expect some bugs here and there. Do contribute to the Google+ community here and give your opinions too!

Pros:

  • Material design themes, plus much more
  • Really customizable, and with icon pack support (latest beta)
  • Easy to use

Cons:

  • Facebook feeds are down at the time of writing Occasional feeds still appear
  • Widgets disappear after reboot Fixed as of 7 March!
  • Header and profile images sometimes cannot be changed due to a bug

If you’re ready to scrap that 3rd party Twitter client now, you can visit flowhome.co, this community, or grab it directly from the Play Store here:

If you can’t access the Play Store, you can use evozi’s APK downloader to download the APK directly.

Stay awesome!
