Samsung unpack event was just over! Just in case someone missed the live event, here is a timeline of the event.Note that this review will be different from others as I will be discussing what happened exactly during the event. Preview : Samsung Galaxy S5

The Galaxy S5 is official and its merely a small step forward. The screen grew a little bit to 5.1″ of S-Amoled type with a resolution of 1080p. The camera at the back is a 16 megapixel snapper with UHD video capture.Samsung does maintain the clockspeed advantage with a rare Snapdragon801 chipset clocked at 2.5 Ghz and while the fingerprint scanner was no surprise, the heart ratemonitor certainly is. Note that the Home button now contains a fingerprint scanner, which will be used for securing the phone but apps can also use it to provide secureverification for their services. You need to swipe your finger over the scanner(not just hold it).The back of the device is a new iteration of Samsung’s leather-like plastic,with what looks like perforated holes. Preview : HTC Desire 816

The MWC 2014 is active and so is HTC. The Taiwanese tech-giant launched the Desire 816 as its latest offering in the upper midrange.The phone is quite a looker just like the HTC One with dual frontal speakers mounted on either sides. It packs a 5.5″ display of 720p resolution. The Desire 816 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400processor with a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. The1.5GB of RAM will allow trouble-free multi-tasking, while the 8GB ofinternal storage, expandable via microSD, will try and fit in all your content.HTC has put a 13MP camera at the back of the device and, with a 5MPfront facer, the quality of selfies is bound to rise.HTC’s latest phablet comes with Sense 5.5 out of the box and the deviceis powered by a 2,600mAh battery. Preview : Sony Xperia Z2

Sony unveiled their latest offerings at MWC 2014 in Sony Xperia Z2. The phone looks quite similar to the Xperia Z1 which means its quite a looker but boasts bigger 5.2″ Triluminous screen of IPS LCD variety. The screen resolution is still the same ie 1080p which means no QHD resolution this time. The camera on the back is the same unit as on the Z1 at 20.7 megapixels but it is capable of recording 4K video capture @30fps and slow-motion videos @120fps.The Xperia Z2 runs on Android 4.4.2 and uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chipset which is a little improvement over the already fast Snapdragon 800 chipset.The previous Xperia flagships are know for weak speakers, but Xperia Z2 comes with stereo speakers which should perform better.The Sony Xperia Z2 comes with 16GB of built-in storage and a microSDcard slot.
