Confirmed! Android O is coming on this 21st

A few days ago after I posted Android O-What?, saying about the possible name and the release date leak by Evan Blass. Well, guess what? Google just announced that Android O is coming to you this 21st of August. Sweet! If you head over to Android Eclipse, you will see the eclipse countdown time and that is not just about it. It’s also the countdown for Android O release that will happen on 2:40 PM EST (That would be around 3:45 AM GMT+8).

On August 21st, a solar eclipse will sweep across the entire United States for the first time since 1918. Android is helping you experience this historic natural phenomenon so you can learn more about the eclipse and count down to the big day—when you’ll meet the next release of Android and all of it’s super (sweet) new powers, revealed via livestream from New York City at 2:40PM ET.

Still, the question remains. What will they name it after? Oreo, Orangina, Ohmygodthisisnotevenasnack? Well, I guess we have to wait for 3 more days. Good stuff waiting for us up ahead.

Oh dear, Corvallis, OR, United States will experience total solar eclipse? Sweet.
